Saturday Sparks Link Party 71 and Updates

Welcome to Saturday Sparks 71!
I started this party to provide a gathering place for people to share their latest inspiring posts.
With that thought in mind, I have added to the list of suggested category ideas to include 'Photography' and 'Ponderings'. Whether through words, pictures or both, we all have stories to tell and I hope this will encourage you to share some of yours.
Of course, all of the other categories are still joyously welcomed.
Now, onto the Fabulous Features from Saturday Sparks 70.
Paint Your Old Buckets at Little Brags. Christine has a thing for old buckets and shows us how she dressed them up a bit with some paint. Love the polkadots!
Easy Summer Decorating on the Mantel at Chateau Chic. Mary Alice shares her tips for easy summer decor with her pretty Summer Mantel using vintage objects and a botanical theme.
Outdoor Makeover Challenge:  Big Reveal at Making It In the Mountains. Kristi participated in an Outdoor Makeover Challenge and transformed her deck into a wonderful outdoor gathering space with a minimal budget and some great DIY projects.
$30 Kitchen Island at Mom In Music City. Sabine wanted a kitchen island, but got sticker shock at the high prices. Using the fine art of 'making do', she made herself one for a mere $30. Love the rustic feel to it and the stain and paint combination.
DIY Chalkboard for My Entryway Wall at Seeking Lavender Lane. Deb shows us her quick and easy DIY Chalkboard that she say took only an hour to complete. Another simple idea with a big impact - got to love it!
Lined Glasses Case at It's Organized. Jackie shares a step-by-step sewing tutorial on how to make this pretty and useful eyeglass case.
Roast Chicken on Wild Mushroom Sticky Rice Risotto at The Woks of Life. Sarah shares her idea for a Risotto replacement that is equally delicious, but with much less effort in this savory recipe.

Butter Cookies with Cherry, Raspberry and Chocolate at Something Sweet. Winnie shares a yummy recipe for these Butter Cookies that is sure to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Copy-Cat Outshine Strawberry Popsicle Recipe at The Pin Junkie. Bonnie shares her recipe for a Strawberry Fruit Bar that makes a perfect treat on a hot Summer day.

Blueberry Cobbler Bars at Kleinworth & Co. - Recipes that include blueberries rank very high on my scale and Gina is getting my vote once again with these delectable bars.
And finally, a recap of my share from the party - Unexpected Guests. In this post, I share about a surprise visit we received from some of God's creatures and the parting gifts they left us.

  13. That is a sad story about the snapping turtles, Suzanne :( Maybe by a stroke of luck, some of the babies will hatch and make it to the water.
